For Erasmus exchange students, there is no official language requirement, you just have to speak English. It may however be a pleasant and useful experience to learn Dutch (see bellow 'September course - Dutch for exange students), the official language of our university college and about 6 million Belgians.
For regular international students, level 5 of Dutch as a Foreign Language is necessary to enroll and succeed in your studies. To meet this requirement a special course is offered (see bellow 'Level 5 of Dutch - Dutch for regular students).
September course (Dutch for exchange students)
International students (exchange students) can take an intensive language course for Dutch as a foreign language from the Erasmus Intensive Language Courses program. The Erasmushogeschool Brussel coordinates this course.
So if you plan on coming to study next year at the Erasmushogeschool and you want to take any languages courses of EILC, you have to notice it to Mr. Johan de Sterke (contact IRMO) to apply for a place. The deadline to subscribe at the September languages courses is on May, so hurry up!
The EILC courses are given during three weeks, Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 16:00, a total of 60 hours and 6 ECTS.
The EILC course is open only for Erasmus exchange students who are already officially accepted and will study at one of the BRUNET partners:
- Europese Hogeschool Brussel
- Hogeschool voor Wetenschap en Kunst
- Hogeschool Sint-Lukas Brussel
- Vrije Universiteit Brussel
- Katholieke Universiteit Brussel
